This email addresses everything you need to know to get started including our rates, schedule, online reservations and payment link, educational videos and articles that address most common questions.

Ready to make a reservation?

  1. Ideally start early and try to finish 2-3 weeks before your wedding. Fit in a boot camp to reinforce private lessons for supervised practice, discount on privates and enhance your confidence.
  2. Purchase lessons to secure reservations- private, semi private, mini group, group, Wedding Dance Bootcamp or a combination. Lessons are valid for 1 year from date of purchase. We offer refunds on unused private lessons and credit transfers for unused Boot Camps.
  3. After purchasing, you will be transferred to a purple database. ENROLL by setting up a username and password. Create your account profile, read the scheduling tips and check your email for your Pay Pal receipt #. If you encounter any difficulties go ahead and set up an account profile then contact us for scheduling assistance by calling 703.626.7016 or email us at [email protected]
  4. After you reserve your appointments in the database, check your email for appointment confirmation letter(s) for each appointment – Add info@theweddingdancespecialists to your contacts white list to ensure transmission. Your confirmation letter includes: Studio Address, Items to Bring, “Avoid Dance Disaster” Tips, Resources, Policies, Video Tutorial, Wedding Dance Timeline

Rates

Our rates are priced per couple and lessons are 55 minutes (most traditional studios are 40-45 minutes).

We won’t waste your valuable time with learning material unrelated to your immediate goals that costs you extra time, money, energy and trips to the studio, inappropriate choreography that will require extra lessons and look redundant or stiff, endless sales pitches, useless free trials, Groupons or rock bottom pricing only to upsell you later. We provide a 24 hour grace period for upgrades to ensure you get the best rates with no pressure.

Wedding Dance Boot Camp

We strongly encourage you to reinforce your private lessons with one of our popular Wedding Dance Boot Camps hosted monthly from February – October. It is an intensive 3 hour group lesson on one day tailored to engaged couples, their families and bridal party and taught by husband and wife national experts to give you the Bride/Groom perspective.

The curriculum covers easy, photogenic, universal movements that work with all styles of partner dance and every tempo. It is especially recommended for anyone taking a private lesson crash course (3 or less lessons). Our Wedding Dance Boot Camp is recommended by event planners and Washingtonian Magazine.

A boot camp speeds up the learning process, provides a big picture perspective and basic foundation but is not sufficient to replace the customization of private lessons.

Receive a discount on private lessons when you purchase a boot camp at the same time. Boot camps are especially helpful for tight budgets as supervised practice and reinforcement to complement a private lesson crash course at a deeply discounted rate.

If you have a private group that you would like to organize independently check out the semi private and mini group discounted rates for families and the bridal party. The spotlight dances are the most sentimental and visually dynamic rituals of the wedding reception – with a little preparation they can also be the most memorable and photogenic!

Locations and Scheduling

If your wedding is around the corner or you have a tight schedule,live far from the studio or are requesting last minute reservationswe suggest double or triple sessions which minimizes trips to the studio, maximizes the amount of lessons you can fit into your schedule and offers you a quantity rate discount.

Earlier reservations of slots ensures you more flexible scheduling options. Schedule availability is flexible because if you don’t see a slot that works for your schedule you can open up a new day just for you with a double session.

Although we are accustomed to accommodating last minute requests, the ideal situation is to finish lessons 2-3 weeks before the wedding date.

Lessons are by appointment only so we cannot accomodate drop ins. Therefore, the specific address is emailed to you once you purchase and schedule appointments. Locations:

Falls Church, VA 22042: near Fairfax Hospital
Vienna, VA 22182: near Tysons Mall

Private Lessons: Sundays 12 noon – 5pm and weeknights Mon – Thurs 5-9pm
Group Bootcamps: one weekend a month (Feb-October)
